Green Shell Park
Located off William Hilton Parkway, Green Shell Park features a playground, a half-court basketball court, picnic area, a nature trail, observation deck, and restrooms. The three-acre park is also a historical spot.
The park is just off Highway 278 as you enter Hilton Head Island. It’s located along Skull Creek and features views of the Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge. Look out over the observation deck to a wetland and marsh area. It’s a great spot to view local birds and other flora and fauna.
The park is also an archaeological site dating back to 1335 AD and is home to a small historic cemetery and an authentic Native American shell ring.
