Best Photo Spots on Hilton Head Island
#1 - Hilton Head Beaches
Okay, maybe this one seems obvious - but we couldn't let you forget the obligatory beach photo. Whether it’s Folly Field, Burkes, Singleton or inside of Palmetto Dunes, you'll want to share just how great the view is. Be sure to check out the tidal marsh that bisects Burkes and Singleton Beaches for an extra special shot…it makes for amazing sunsets over the dunes and marsh grass.

#2 - Broad Creek
Situated mid-island and a short drive from wherever you're staying, Broad Creek offers a few options for excellent dining, amazing views and live music against the backdrop of gentle breezes and next level sunsets. Try out The Old Oyster Factory, Fish Camp or Up the Creek for seafood, local fare or just a great burger for an afternoon lunch break. The sunset that comes later is like dessert for the day.
#3 - Pinckney Island
Over 3,000 acres of what was once part of a plantation belonging to Major General Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, Pinckney Island is a nature lovers paradise. With miles of trails and bike paths that let you get up close and personal with nature, there is an endless supply of viewing locations to soak in the beauty of Skull Creek and Mackay Creek. Maps are available in the visitor parking area so you can find your way. It’s a great place to work up an appetite for dinner…or work off a little overindulgence from the day before. Pinckney Island Managed Wildlife Refuge is just off Island headed west towards I95.
#4 - Old Town Bluffton
On rainy days many a visitor will head for the formerly small town of Bluffton. Having doubled in size in the last 10 years, Bluffton is home to a couple of the things that visitors ask about most, like an Outlet Mall and Sam’s Club! It’s also home to “Old Town Bluffton”, the one square mile that was the part of life in Bluffton from its inception. With loads of art galleries, places to eat (like Bluffton BBQ, Calhoun’s and The Bluffton Room).
Easily walkable, the main drag of Calhoun Street has as its bookends The Promenade and The Church of the Cross. The church, whose congregation dates to the mid 1700s was built just prior to the Civil War and survives mostly untouched since it’s birth. Its grounds are open to the public and home to the best sunset show not on Hilton Head.
